The 2010 Trip to Mel's Farm was fantastic! The troop was blessed once again with fabulous weather. Fun was had by all and, once again, everybody came home in good health. Troop Committee Chairman Pat Neal and committee members Dan Pearson and Wallie Caudill joined the troop on this trip. The troop left Wheaton at 5 PM sharp on Friday, and arrived at 9 PM. The menu on Saturday morning included Scrambled Eggs and Sausage Biscuits. For lunch the scouts enjoyed Hot Dogs and Mac & Cheese. The scouts spent the day at the four highly supervised shooting ranges in the valley, plus a few also fired off the shotgun. On Saturday evening the annual Troop 374 Flag Disposal ceremony was held prior to a dinner of Mostacholli, Chicken Fajitas and Tavern Potatoes. The troop spent the chilly evening at a roaring campfire and watching shooting stars. Sunday morning the scouts created a huge batch of Troop 374 donuts. |
